Initially given as a sermon at Chinatown Church of Christ
Scripture: Luke 15:11-32
This is another take on the Parable of the Lost Son, but focusing on the first son who is angry at his father because he doesn’t understand his father’s love for his kids. This sermon discusses how we can raise our children to be the ideas son. It starts with parents letting kids know that they love the kids. This is especially good for Asian parents to think about. This sermon can totally change your relationship with your child. May this be a blessing to you.
This sermon ends up being one that generates a lot of emotions among the listeners. Parents were busy taking notes. One 70-year-old lady stood up and said that each time she visited her 90+-year-old mother at nursing home and just said, “I love you” to her, her mother would be overcome with happiness. She said she wished she had started expressing her love for her mother earlier.
