George's Poetry: Searching

A Pigeon's Prayer (written 8/10/95)

A messanger pigeon looks to the big blue sky . . .
Wanting to fly
Yet afraid to try
For the journey is too long
And the wind too strong
For him to travel all alone

So to God in Heaven he prays,
"Would you place partners in my ways
Who would fly with me through the days . . .
With the same vision
On the same mission:
To bring the healing message to this dying generation?"
